Chapter 38 was started in late 2005 with a few close brothers who had the thought of a brotherhood above all.
They wanted to form a group that would work hard to help others but at the same time make a obligation to meet
monthly and share a bond with each other. In May of 2006 we recieved our official charter. Over time word grew among these close brothers and several others wanted to enjoy this same type of brotherhood. All of these brothers has a bond through work, other M/C clubs or close friendship. This was a Brotherhood that asked each member to watch over one another and their families but to also remain active and share in the responsibilties of the Club and to participate. In the 1st full year of operation the 9 brothers raised over $9,000 for various charities and had at least one member present at every major ride or event in central Pa. The Club has now grown to 6 Charter members, 7 active members and 3 honorary lifetime members. Ch 38 does not recruit members or have a "join now" button on this site. Membership has been reserved to those who show a strong interest, high level of dedication and must meet several other obligations. There are hundreds if not thousands of motorcycle clubs out there to join if you just want to pay for a patch and wear it. We pride ourselves in the fact that we have 90-100% club member participation AT ALL our events. Your good name and currency will not buy your way into Ch 38, dedication, participation, hard work and loyalty to the other members will. ANYONE WEARING THE 38 has given months if not years to the club, our causes and most of all brotherhood to the members in CH 38. We have very high standards and enforce all requirements in order to insure we get 100% out of each member. This is not a group that takes things lightly, we work hard and play hard as well.
The Masonic Motorcycle Club International brings together Master Masons with a common interest in motorcycle riding, promotes good fellowship and encourages membership in the fraternity. There are several chapters throughout Pennsylvania- please visit www.masonicmotorcycleclub.org to see if there is a chapter near you or to learn how to start your own. There is also a "Nomad" Chapter # 8 , this chapter does not have meetings, there are no mandatory requirements in regards to the amount of time, work and effort you must put in. Chapter 38 hosted the 1st annual MSG Sean M. Thomas Memorial Benefit Ride. The event raised more than $4,000 in four hours, with 200 bikes and about 250 people in attendance. Please see the photo page. All money raised was given to the wife of Sean, a soldier killed in Iraq, to help with an education fund for his young 6 mo old daughter, Alexa. There will be a 2nd Annual Msg Sean M. Thomas Foundation Ride sponsored by Ch 38 on Sat June 7th 2008. Chapter 38 has reached these goals due to our strict rules and constant enforcement of our high standards.
